Student Safety: Douglaston campus… Since over 90% of students at Divine Wisdom are driven to and from school, this is intended to remind parents and students that safety around the Academy is of the utmost importance to everyone.
During morning drop-off, drivers should never stop in the middle of the street to let a child out. All children are to be dropped off on the Academy side of the street. Cars are not to be left unattended in the bus zone to escort children into Father Smith Hall.
At dismissal, the school yard is open for families to park to pick up their children. There is ample space in the yard to park in the designated parking spots. Our children run out and want to play with their friends, so it is very important that we are aware of children playing. Do not park in the bus stop!!!!!
Please respect the safety officers’ policies and practices, if they ask you to do, or not to do something, please abide by their request…
