Welcome Michael Sampson!
On Friday, February 3rd, 2017 popular children’s author Michael Sampson will be visiting our school. Sampson is both an author and a former elementary school teacher. Currently, Michael is Dean of the School of Education at St. John’s University. Michael Sampson has written and co-written more than 30 books with famous children’s author Bill Martin Jr. Michael Sampson will be visiting with Pre-K – fifth grade students.
Some of Sampson’s books are listed below. The School will receive 25% of the profits from the books sold. Since he cannot possibly bring multiple copies of all his books, students must pre-order any book they would like to purchase by filling out the sheet below. Please complete the Book Order Summary Form and return it to your teacher by the requested deadline. The titles of available books and their prices are listed below. Checks are to be made out to Michael Sampson Books. Michael will autograph all the books students purchase.

Divine Wisdom will be holding its 5th Gala on Saturday April 8, 2017. Mark your calendars for this exciting event. The Gala is the largest fund raiser of the year with every dollar earned being poured back into Academy programs. More importantly, it is a fun opportunity for the Academy community of both campuses to come together to celebrate the amazing artwork of our children and enjoy a great evening with fellow members of the Academy family.
In order to ensure a successful event, we need lots of volunteers. Planning for this event literally began as we packed up last year’s event. This is a great opportunity to get those fundraising hours completed. While some of the hours occur during the weekend of the event, there are many chances to fulfill your commitments between now and the date of the event. Some of the hours needed are quite flexible. They allow you to set your own hours, and in some cases work from the comfort of your own home.
