In ELA students continued reading, Because of Winn Dixie by summarizing the plot, describing and comparing the characters using symbolism with supporting evidence from the text.
In Writing, students engaged effectively in a range of collaborative discussions on building on using figurative language by depicting a theme, symbol, or character from the novel.
In Social Studies, students continued to discuss the Native American tribes and their customs.
In Science, students started discussions on animal adaptations by observing illustrations on how various types of animals adapt and survive in their environment.
In Mathematics, we are wrapping up Chapter 3 working with multi-step word problems using strategies involving multiplication.
In Religion, students discussed the significance of All Saints Day and All Soul’s Day. Students created pocket cards for All Saints Days and shared their research for discussion.
Our Halloween party and parade was exciting. Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us. We ended the week with a special Mass and Prayer Service.
