Welcoming families. Building connection from the start.

The Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy Family Buddy Program helps new families feel supported, informed, and connected as they join our school community. Through this program, new families are paired with experienced Divine Wisdom parents who serve as a friendly point of connection and guide.

The Family Buddy Program Model:

The Family Buddy Program pairs new families with a Parent Buddy—an experienced Divine Wisdom parent who helps families navigate school life.

Parent Buddy Role:

Parent Buddies are experienced Divine Wisdom parents who:

  • Check in throughout the year and before major school events
  • Are available to answer general questions and share helpful information
  • Help families navigate the school community and their child(ren)’s experience
  • Share tips, traditions, and insights from their own Academy journey
  • Help direct families to appropriate school channels and protocols

The Family Buddy Program is designed to provide connection and guidance while encouraging families to build relationships within the broader Academy community.

Getting Started:

New families interested in participating in the Family Buddy Program may request to be paired with a Parent Buddy. A member of the Welcome & Buddy Committee will follow up to help make the connection.
