Class Captains

Class Captains are the bridge between families, teachers, and the Academy, helping to foster communication, collaboration, and a strong sense of connection at Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy.

The Class Captain Model

Each homeroom has two Class Captains who serve as liaisons between the homeroom teacher and class families.

Class Captains:

• Support the homeroom teacher with class activities, trips, and celebrations
• Share timely classroom updates with families
• Help foster connection and engagement among class families
• Promote clear, consistent communication between home and school

Class Captains also work directly with the principal to support Academy-wide events such as the Spring Fling and 300 Club.

Responsibilities:

• Class Captains support students, families, and the Academy community by:
• Assisting with class trips, activities, and celebrations
• Communicating with families about classroom activities and important updates
• Collaborating with the Principal on Academy-wide events such as the Spring Fling and 300 Club
• Attending Class Captain meetings (some held via Zoom and others in person as scheduled)
• Sharing helpful ideas to strengthen family engagement and school connection

Interested in Volunteering?

Parents interested in serving as a Class Captain are encouraged to volunteer. This role offers a meaningful way to stay involved, support teachers and students, and strengthen connections within the Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy community.
