Christian Hernandez
STEM Director
“I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments, but rather by the strength we show when and if we’re ever given a second chance.” – Ted Lasso

Mr. Hernandez, STEM Director, brings more than a decade of experience in Catholic education as a teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator. He holds a Master of Education in Teaching and a Certificate in Catholic School Educational Leadership, both from Creighton University. Before joining Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy, he designed and led an innovation lab, creating hands-on learning experiences in engineering, architecture, financial literacy, culinary science, and design. He has also led professional development for educators in artificial intelligence, educational technology, Google Workspace, and data-informed instruction.

Mr. Hernandez is passionate about hands-on, project-based learning that connects subjects across the curriculum. He believes STEM gives students the chance to use their God-given talents to ask meaningful questions, collaborate, and design, build, test, and improve ideas that can make a positive difference in the world. He is excited to build a STEM program that is rigorous, creative, and engaging for students at every grade level.
