Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Physical Education, Health and Wellness

As our students begin a new school year, we warmly welcome everyone back! Our Enrichment teachers have put together a Special Subjects Booklet outlining important policies, rules, and a glimpse of our curriculum. The booklet will be emailed home by the office for Back-to-School Night. Our 7th and 8th grade students have also received a PE Contract, which must be signed and returned to school by September 22nd.

This Year in Physical Education: “Who Am I Becoming?”

More than just learning sports and fitness skills, we will encourage our students to think about the person they are becoming: stronger, healthier, kinder, more confident, and willing to try their best. Through movement, teamwork, challenges, and reflection, students will learn that every choice they make helps shape who they become.

We will Think it. Choose it. Become it!

Wellness Wednesday Begins September 30th

Every Wednesday, students and staff will focus on health and well-being through simple wellness activities. Students may wear sneakers with their FULL school uniform.

Please note: Wellness Wednesday is not a dress-down day. Let’s make wellness part of our weekly routine!

Move-to-Improve Program

The Move-to-Improve program is designed to get students out of their seats and moving more during the school day. Teachers and Administration will use Move-to-Improve to add physical activity to their classroom lessons.

  • Physically active students do better in school and stay healthy.
  • Daily physical activity can help students focus and behave better in class.

Monthly Fitness Calendar

Please check your child’s Google Classroom each month for a fun fitness calendar to complete together at home. Print the calendar and have your child check each box as activities are completed. Once the calendar is completed and signed by a parent/guardian and returned to school, students will be able to wear their favorite sport/superhero shirt with their gym uniform to their next gym class.

We look forward to a healthy, active, and exciting year together!
